Itinerary

Arrive at Islamabad International Airport and meet the expedition staff. After transfers to the hotel, a full briefing about the climb, logistics, and safety is conducted.

Take the one-hour flight to Skardu if weather allows, offering aerial views of Nanga Parbat and the Karakoram. In case of cancellation, drive the Karakoram Highway, passing through valleys and gorges along the Indus River.

Today is reserved for official paperwork, checking climbing gear, and acclimatization. Explore Skardu’s bazaar, fort, and surrounding natural spots if time permits

A jeep ride through the Shigar Valley takes you to Askole, the last village before the glaciers. Here, porters organize supplies and prepare for the trek.

Begin trekking along the Braldu River on sandy and rocky trails. Suspension bridges cross rivers, and by evening, the team sets camp at Jhola.

Continue trekking for 6–7 hours along gravel plains and ridges. The first clear views of granite walls, including the Trango Towers, begin to appear.

Porters prepare for the glacier journey while climbers take short hikes in the surrounding hills. This rest helps with acclimatization.

Enter the Baltoro Glacier, navigating rocky moraines and icy ridges. Khoburtse camp is surrounded by steep granite towers.

A short but steep trek leads to Urdukas, where grassy platforms provide one of the most comfortable campsites above the glacier.

Leave the main glacier route towards the Trango Towers. Base camp is established at the foot of the towers, surrounded by soaring granite walls.

The following three weeks are dedicated to acclimatization, fixing ropes, and climbing operations. The climb involves vertical granite pitches, technical aid, and free climbing at high altitude. Teams usually establish multiple camps on the wall before the final push. The summit of Great Trango Tower rewards climbers with unparalleled views of K2, Broad Peak, and the Karakoram range.

After clearing base camp, descend back onto the Baltoro route and camp at Urdukas.

Descend along familiar trails, leaving the icy environment behind as you return to Paiju camp.

Continue the trek back along the Braldu River, retracing your steps to Jhola camp.

A final trek back to Askole village marks the end of the walking journey.

Return to Skardu by jeep through Shigar Valley. Rest at the hotel and celebrate the conclusion of the expedition.

Return to Islamabad either by flight or road depending on weather conditions.

Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
